	SAFE HAVEN – LESLIE BRENT’ EXHIBITION Wed, 24/01/2024 - 11:00 to 15:45 Arts and Heritage The Harwich Kindertransport Memorial and Learning Trust (HKMLT) is pleased to present a very special exhibition at the Harwich Arts & Heritage Centre from Wednesday 24th – Wednesday 31st January 2024. The exhibition, “Safe Haven – Leslie Brent” highlights his amazing journey on the Kindertransport – one of the largest acts of rescue in the whole of the Nazi era – and the life he made for himself in Britain. He was one of the 10,000 mostly Jewish children who were sent to safety in Britain from 1938-1939, and like many of the children, he arrived in the Essex port of Harwich. The exhibition coincides with and commemorates the 85th Anniversary of the Kindertransport as well as Holocaust Memorial Day 2024. HKMLT unveiled a memorial ‘Safe Haven’ on the Harwich quayside in September 2022. 	Boho Banter Presents performance poet Attila the Stockbroker Thu, 15/02/2024 - 19:00 to 21:00 Jessica's Place, As a Valentine's gift, 'Boho Banter' lovingly presents an evening with Attila the Stockbroker. 	RNLI CLACTON LIFEBOAT COFFEE MORNING Sat, 15/03/2025 - 10:00 St Bartholomew's Church Hall Coffee morning in aid of Clacton Lifeboat at St Bartholomew's Church Hall, Frinton Road, Holland on Sea, on Saturday 15 March 2025 from 10am to 12noon. Admission £1 to include a coffee or tea and biscuit. Stalls include RNLI gifts, bric-a-brac, books, cakes, raffle, etc. Finish at 12 noon

	Wild Flowers & Orchids Pt2 a talk by Roger Hance Fri, 21/03/2025 - 11:00 to 12:00 Jaywick Martello Tower In this talk we look at more wildflowers along with plants that can be found in the countryside that would make you ill or even kill you. We also look at several plants that have medicinal properties and were used in olden times to cure illness. It also shows a further selection of wild orchids.
	Talent in Tendring Sun, 23/03/2025 - 16:00 St Osyth Parish Church Clacton Concert Orchestra present an afternoon of music from classical to pop including Haydn's Trumpet Concerto. The concert will feature vocal soloists accompanied by an orchestra in an afternoon of live music. Finish 5.30pm
	Naze Birds of Prey Evening Wed, 09/04/2025 - 18:00 to 20:00 Essex Wildlife Trust Imperial Birds of Prey Academy bring their informative and fun show to The Naze, capturing your attention and imagination. Covering a wide range of topics that include conservation, habitat, diet, adaptations and biology and giving you the opportunity to be up close and personal with these magnificent birds. This is a 2 hour talk with a 15-minute Q and A/ tea break in the middle. The first half of the talk will be showcasing the animals- getting them close to visitors, and the second half is more 'action' related- birds flying over the top of peoples heads, mammals running on the floor etc. Booking essential by ringing 01255 679379 or email naze@essexwt.org.uk
	Kite Festival Sat, 26/07/2025 - 10:00 to Sun, 27/07/2025 - 16:00 Essex Wildlife Trust Join us for a spectacular display of large kites from East Anglian Kite Flyers. https://www.eastangliankiteflyers.org.uk/gallery.shtml The kite festival weekend will be held on Saturday 26/07/2025 and Sunday 27/07/2025. 10am- 4pm each day. Families, children, and adults are welcome. There is disabled access, toilets, baby changing, a shop, and a cafÃ©/refreshments. The displays are free to attend. There will also be a chance to decorate your own kites to fly and keep for Â£8 per kite with our kite workshops which will be running both days. Timeslots will be: 10-10.45 10.45-11.30 11.30-12.15 12.45-1.30 1.30-2.15 2.15-3.00 3.00-3.45 Advance booking advised - we sold out last year.
