ccommodation and ttractions
The National ccessible Scheme
is a national scheme for accessible
accommodation, so you know which
accommodation providers are best
for you. The National ccessible
Scheme (NS) - run by VisitEngland
- is a national scheme to ensure that
accommodation meets the needs
of people with physical and sensory
needs.
In addition, there is a self-assessed
national scheme where establishments
provide detailed information about the
accessibility of their facilities, from the
supply of ramps and disabled parking,
to the provision of disability awareness
training for staff. We advise you to
check directly with the establishment
prior to arrival to discuss if they can
fulfil to your needs.
Car Parking
There is FREE parking in Council run
car parks between 3pm – 8am. For
more information on parking call

Before utilising the benefits of the
blue badge, you must remember to
CLERLY display the badge with the
expiry side of your badge showing
(i.e. DO NOT display your photo side
of the badge). You must also set your
clock to your time of arrival.
If parking in a car park, you may park
in any Tendring District Council pay
and display car park for 3 hours free
of charge providing your badge is
