We are currently experiencing intermittent issues with public access, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.The West Greensward is an area of open grass approximately three quarters of a hectare. The area is used for major events, the most notable is the annual two day Clacton-on-Sea Air show which takes place in August. An estimate of the number of visitors drawn to the Air Show is approximately 120,000, the majority of these visitors flock around the area of West Greensward where the flying displays are focussed, situated here are trade and catering stands and live entertainment.
At the western end of the Greensward is a cafeteria and mini golf course. These facilities are operated independently from Tendring District Council.
